At the Vail Athletic Club, we know complete fitness begins at your core. Our fully equipped Pilates Studio helps you extract the maximum benefit of this therapeutic and healing path to fitness. Instructed by an experienced team of certified Pilates instructors, Pilates will increase your flexibility, improve your posture, and unleash surprising strength.

 

Pilates Classes

Introduction to Pilates

This is a beginning class for those interested in the Pilates method.  Taught on mats with occasional use of props and balls, this class is geared for the beginner, and will incorporate an incredible core strengthening workout and introduction to Pilates principals and exercises.

Mat and Mat with Props

A mixed-level classical Pilates mat class that incorporates all fundamental Pilates principles including control, precision, alignment, balance, breath and rhythm/flow. Exercises are taught in their traditional order and form, althoughPilates modifications are provided when necessary. Small props such as fit balls, magic circles, foam rollers, therapy bands and light weights may be used for added challenge. This class is free for Members and included in the daily fee fo Guests. 55 Minutes.

 

Equipment

A small, focused class that helps students acquire a deeper understanding of the Pilates work. Class focuses on breath while developing core strength and control. Apparatus used include Reformer, Cadillac, Low Chair, Spine Correctors, Barrels, Ped-O-Pull and more. Prior Pilates equipment experience is recommended. Please inquire about introductory privates.

Chair

This is an intermediate-advanced class for those who want to take their Pilates practice to the next level.  The class focuses on strength training movements for the arms and legs with undivided attention on the core throughout.
